Another very common act in the professional field and on Christmas dates is the company lunch or dinner, in which many workers have doubts about how to dress. Our advice is not far from what has already been seen.
With a fantasy or youth suit you will look elegant and perfect. Here we would avoid the most formal dress or ceremony suits since it is about spending a few more informal moments with co-workers.
It is also possible to simply wear a jacket with a shirt and dress pants or jeans, a more comfortable and relaxed outfit that, although less elegant and sophisticated, is equally valid for the occasion. Our advice is that you try to find out how the rest of the attendees will be dressed to get an idea of the formality of the meal.
Men’s suit models
In general, there are 3 large groups of suits that encompass all the existing variations, which we will mention for information:
Straight suit
It is the quintessential men’s suit model, the most used by most men since it is valid for practically any situation. The cut of straight suits is used for both dress jackets and sports jackets.
It can be one, two or even three buttons. The upper buttons should always be fastened, if applicable, leaving the lower button undone. Normally they tend to be buttoned up in the most formal moments, while for more relaxed and relaxed situations, they should be unbuttoned. Its central opening is wider to let the tie shine better.
3-piece suit or suit with vest
The three-piece wedding suit are made up of a jacket, waistcoat and trousers, all made to match and of the same fabric. The vest has been disappearing over the years, basically because it was somewhat uncomfortable to work with, but today it is a widely used element, mainly for dressing, giving a more elegant and sophisticated touch to the suit as a whole.
Details to consider in a suit
Once we have seen the main types of suits that you can wear for each type of event, we will mention some design details that you can look at in case of doubt.
To differentiate a quality suit from the rest, it is important to take into account these elements that will make the difference and that will help you distinguish between a traditional suit and a modern one.
Rear opening
The suit jacket features an opening at the back. This opening can be single and central, normally for dress suits, and it can also have two openings, which predominate in more informal or sport jackets.
Flaps
Years ago, lapels stood out for their great width in most suit collections, but today, there is a wide variety of lapel designs that provide details that distinguish one suit from another. Some of them have a decorative eyelet.
Currently we can find flaps of various types of Prom tuxedos, both narrow and wide, although the most frequent and practical are the thinnest flaps.
Indoor fodder
Unlike suits manufactured as standard by large stores, quality suits stand out for having an inner lining with various designs that gives it a touch of elegance and superior distinction. Sometimes suits designed for summer omit the lining to make them more comfortable.
Sleeves
The sleeves of the suits have decorative buttons that in most cases can be unbuttoned, but it is not recommended since the inner lining should never be shown. The sleeve must be at the height of the wrist, and showing the edge of the cuff of the shirt that is being worn is a detail that gives it greater elegance.
Pants
Suit pants always have two side pockets and usually two pockets on the back. As for the length, the ideal is that the suit pants rest on a third part of the shoe that is worn, while on the back it is approximately at the height of the heel.
It is perfectly possible to turn the pants with a simple fold, but the most normal thing is always to put the false to the exact measurement, since the other way can give the sensation of being lower, something only recommended for narrow legs.
On the other hand, there would be its different variants that depend on fashion and consumer taste, in which we can find wide-leg pants, tighter or totally skinny.
Accessories
Ties, bow ties, handkerchiefs, vests, suspenders, belts, cufflinks or shoes are the most used accessories to give a touch of distinction and originality to suits, so that each set is unique and serves for multiple combinations.
